Personally, I was unfortunately never given the opportunity to complete an exchange semester or year. However, I was able to get to know new cultures through my family at a young age. I find the two islands (Ireland and the UK) in the Atlantic and Italy very fascinating and interesting. The landscapes, the people and the history of the three countries are particularly exciting. One of my dreams will be to emigrate to one of the islands or to Italy at some point. Why did I take on the role of President of an exchange organisation? Quite simply! I think it's a great thing to offer today's young people this opportunity to get to know a new culture and improve their language skills. It also encourages creativity and strengthens the personal development of the participants. This short but interesting experience will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
